There are a large number of Arabic TV channels available via satellite for free. These are on a number of different satellites which we will try to list here.

There are a large number of Arabic channels available on the satellite Optus D2. These can all be received using a 60cm dish on its own or our Triple Satellite Dish system - giving access to three satellites without moving the dish - Optus D1, C1 and D2.
The Triple Satellite Dish system gives you the Freeview channels as well as the Arabic channels listed on Optus D2. As well as that, some of the other free channels on Optus D2 also have English programming at times. This gives you more than 15 channels to choose from.

The Arab Media Corporation (AMC) took the initiative of establishing Iqraa Satellite Channel with a view to portraying the deep-rooted Arab traditions. Iqraa Channel presents various programs catering for the taste of all family members. The official Arabic website is here.
This channel can be received free from Intelsat 5 satellite using our 1.2m dish. Our 1.2m solid petal dish is available in either a ground mount or pole mount. The pole mount uses a 42mm roof mount. Being a petal dish it comes packed into a small box for easy shipping.
We also have a Quad Satellite Dish system available for mounting three Ku LNBs on the 1.2m dish beside the C Band LNB. This configuration will give you Intelsat 5 (for Iqraa TV, BBC World News & Australia Network), Optus D1 (for Freeview). Optus C1 and Optus D2 (for the free Arabic channels) - without moving the dish. That provides you with a minimum of 20 high value channels with no monthly costs.

Many other Arabic channels are available on the satellite Asiasat 2. This satellite requires a 2.3m C Band dish as a minimum, preferably a 3m dish, and has a very low look angle. This means that many places will not be able to 'see' the satellite due to hills, trees or large buildings. See Lyngsat for details.
